Millennial Generation Manifesto (MGM)

The unruly generation...Your constant botheration

You set us rules and tell us to follow
When you gave us pills and expect us to swallow
But how could you raise us so deep with your lies
And expect that my generation would be so shallow

We question your ability to make our decisions
Because you told us that old age affects your precision
You right us for your wrongs
And then you wrong us for our rights to be human

You keep hiding the truths form us
So how did you expect to earn our trust...
Issues we have with traditions
When you try to shut us down with contrary actions

It is okay to confess
That much of the things you try to teach us you failed them on your test
You failed to question your actions
So let us

We may even deliberately defy your rules
Because to us rules are like fragile records
Destined to be broken
Even if you didn't realize we broke them

We have seen things we have never imagined
Imagine where they came from
We aren't much different
Let me try to put this in ways that you'll understand
You are analog and we are digital

We are programmed to program computers to think literate
And make a living from things we share on the internet
So sorry if we don't exactly meet your priority
But we have decided on our own to be our own priority

We are the change as you have said we would be
You said you are our leaders but so are we
You have made your mistakes and you have let us see
And we heard we are the future, so let us be.
